WeAreShady Founder Emerges From Hiding After Former Contributor to Site Embarrasses Organization On National TV

I have decided to come out of hiding temporarily after being informed that one of the former contributors to this site was exposed at an SEC football game on national tv in full body paint. There are at least 93 rules being violated by going to an SEC football game in full body paint. I will point out a few of them.

1) You CANNOT go to an SEC football game in full body paint if you are not a student of the school you are promoting. As we all know, young Alex attends Jeff State in Trussville. If Jeff State was playing Montevallo in backgammon, then maybe you could go to that in full body paint.

2) You CANNOT go to an SEC football game in full body paint if your team has even a 1% chance of losing. The reason for this is simple. You know that you will be on tv throughout the game because of your unabashed lack of shame by painting your entire body. You know that if the team you are promoting loses, they are going to immediately get your reaction so that the rest of the normal people in the country will be entertained by laughing at how ridiculous you look. (Note the bottom picture which was taken immediately after the OT loss.)

3) You CANNOT go to an SEC football game in full body paint just because the team you are promoting has recently gotten a new coach. If you're gonna go for Saban...you better have gone for Shula. It was a 3 game winning streak...let's not build that statue of Saban just yet.

4) You CANNOT go to an SEC football game in full body paint if you have to walk from wherever you apply the full body paint to the stadium. If it were possible to somehow teleport from your apartment to your seat at the stadium without having to walk by 150 sorority & fraternity houses in full body paint...nevermind, that still wouldn't justify it.

5) You CANNOT go to an SEC football game in full body paint...period. There are no exceptions to this rule.

On another note, is the phrase meant to be in Spanish? Why is there a guy with an exclamation point at the front of the phrase also? And why is that guy one row above the rest of the group?

WeAreShady website was sold early this week (as seen in the above photo) after Jeff DeLoach brokered a deal between the founders of the website and the world's largest retailer. Wal-Mart, who has been actively seeking an avenue into internet marketing, first approached WeAreShady founders Bart Cannon and Buck Hoskin about purchasing the rights to the site in early 2005 after they launched their first successful marketing campaign. The first several rounds of negotiations were unsuccessful.

The site flourished even to the point of becoming a "Most 100 viewed Blogs" for a short time. The success continued until news of its existence spread like the black plague in Ohio. Within one week Canadia had completely saturated the market causing the value of the site to drop nearly 95%. The death blow came shortly thereafter when the infamous "Sparky Gate" controversy dealt a Chuck Norris like roundhouse kick to the public image of the site and the credibility of its founders (particularly Hoskin). Soccer Mom's and PTA parents openly boycotted the site on shows such as Oprah, Dr. Phil & The View.

Despite these setbacks, Wal-Mart remained interested in purchasing the site at an earlier negotiated price, but changed the terms to include a provision requiring all profits over the actual market value be donated to Southeastern Youth Camp. Unfortunately, Cannon and Hoskin did not make good on their promise. The money was wired from Wal-Mart Financial Dept. to Fuller Bank in Haysi, VA. The money was withdrawn the next day and neither has been heard from since.

It is our hope that a fresh approach to this site can earn back the reputation it once had as a beacon of light in this shady world.

Sorry to all of you out there in the WeAreShady Nation who have been complaining b/c we have not updated the site lately. We actually have a few good reasons.

Buck is in a different hemisphere right now (literally) spreading to Gospel to the great nation of Australia, which is keeping him fairly busy. If you have ever met any Aussies then you know how important it is for him to be there and give a clear message. When he is home, he is teaching somewhere around 7-10 Bible Studies each week.

I have tried my best to get Alex to post something, but he just won't do it. I guess we were too critical of his previous posts, and now that we actually need him to step up he won't.

I (Bart) am currently in my first semester of my first year of law school.

The point is to be patient, eventually when things slow down for us we will get back to posting regularly.

Due to recent information received by the Shady Staff we have taken the liberty of making some changes to the top 10. A serious matter has been brought to our attention concerning "Triple S". It seems that being the Team Shady Liason to Canadia has gone to Sparky's head. Inside sources say that "Triple S" uses patented terms like "shady" and "stephaniechasing" more than Christian radio plays "I Can Only Imagine". Not to mention that no one on the Shady staff has received one picture from "Triple S" to date! It seems that he was using his probationary "Team Shady" status to promote self and that is something that WeAreShady will just not tolerate. Phone calls and messages were left on "Triple S's" answering machine requesting photos to no avail. We are happy to inform all Canadians that "Triple S's" temporary status as Shady Liason to Canadia has been revoked. We must uphold our reputation here at WeAreShady and someone who "fronts" lingo, produces no pics, and makes the worst comments and rebuttals in Shady's history can not continue to "roll" on the coattails of the best blog running today. During a recent trip to Haysi, Virginia newcomer Vickie Lieber decided to be funny and steal all the pillows from the guys cabin. The guys retaliated by secretly hiding all 37 rolls of toilet paper from the girl's bathroom. During the middle of the prank war, WeAreShady quasi-staffer Alex DeLoach came up with a brilliant idea to prevent any more pranks. While the guys were bunkered down in their cabin, uncertainty was looming about whether or not the girls would try to strike in the middle of the night by sneaking into the guys cabin and using shaving cream, water guns, or some other means of retaliation. The guys were busy brainstorming about ways to baracade the doors, create make-shift alarms in case the door was opened, etc. It was all coming together nicely, until Alex DeLoach came up with a "brilliant" plan around 3:30 am. With a very serious look on his face, Alex got the attention of the group to address them. The conversation went something like this.

Alex D. --- "Guys, you know what this means don't you?"

Guys --- "No, not really. What?"

Alex D. --- "It means one of us has to sleep naked (dramatic silent pause)........No, better yet, ALL of us have to sleep naked.

Guys --- "Ahhh...huh?"

Alex D. --- "That way if someone opens the door they will see we are naked and will know they can't come in."

Buck --- "Hmmm....you think you could come up with a little less gay plan?"

The seriousness in Alex's voice and demeanor made it seem like this like this was the only option. Needless to say Alex's plan was vetoed and the guys opted for sleeping with some form of clothing on and instead tied the door shut to Mike Steele's bedpost with a jump rope. In the end Vickie conceded defeat...but Alex D's man-card has been revoked indefinitely.

Team 8 Stripped of Title Until Further Notice As Committee Reviews Incriminating Evidence Of Shady Refereeing

Southeastern Youth Camp is once again engulfed in controversy as new found evidence supports Team 1's claim that other teams cheated during dodgeball. As seen in the above photos, referees Jamie Coggins and Leslie Morton stand idly by while players blatantly broke the rules by crossing the line while attempting to hit the opposing team. Travis Smith, a habitual offender who only comes out of the chapel once a week to play dodgeball, could not be reached for comment. However, Team 1's attorneys from the firm of Moore and More, LLP have insisted on reinstating head referee Steve Moore back into the fold next year.

"I go to the Junior camp one year and all you know what breaks loose. My lawyers have petitioned Shawn for me to be reinstated next year as head referee with special emphasis on dodgeball and earthball to make sure we don't have this same situation two years in a row. And we won't have any "trivia games" to alter the entire outcome of the standings. And we won't be using water to keep up with the standings." --- Steve Moore

Michael "Littleman" Little

Coming in at #4 is one of the most popular campers in SEYC history. Michael "Littleman" Little burst onto the scene in 2000 with an unforgettable rookie campaign. However, it wasn't until 2001 that he began to show signs that he was capable of being in the Top 5 all time shadiest. In 2001 Michael patented his infamous "Nasty Hug" (as seen in the above picture --- sorry Todd you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.)

In addition to the "Nasty Hug," Littleman also slept the entire week with a scuba mask on. Don't ask why, we still are not sure, but when the lights went out...the scuba mask (snorkel included) went on. On an interesting side note. Littleman also holds a couple of SEYC records. During 2001 he ate the world's largest Snicker's bar (3 lbs) just before the lights went out one night. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep that night. Incidentally Littleman's toothbrush was found, still in the package, underneath his bunk on Wednesday (camp starts on Sunday.) He also stands alone with the single most astonishing moment in "Wall" history. I won't elaborate...if you were there you know what I'm talking about.

Littleman has also managed to do something that is not only an SEYC first, but a worldwide first. In 2003, he ran over himself with his own car (he wasn't hurt). We still have not figured out exactly how it happened, but from what we have gathered he got out of his car on a hill, with the car was still in neutral, and realized it was rolling backwards. He immediately ran to the rear of the car, but unfortunately gravity eventually overtook him and his 1964 cherry red Mustang went racing to the bottom of the hill.

Much like John proclaimed at the end of his gospel that the whole world full of books could not contain all the things Jesus did...there is not enough webspace to mention all the SHADY things Littleman did during his time at SEYC. I know I speak for the entire WeAreShady crew...we missed him and hope he makes it back next year. Nevertheless...ladies and gentlemen, your #4 shadiest camper of all time, Michael "Littleman" Little.

Spradlin Uses Concert Time to "Minister" to Fellow Campers --- Decides Late Night Phone Call Is Needed For Followup

There are 5 campers not paying attention to the performance by "Foot of the Hill." The 5 campers are (in counter-clockwise order):

1. Unidentified girl in red/white striped shirt
2. Pee Boy
3. 1
4. Twin
5. Spradlin

Because the red/white striped girl is unable to be identified it would be unfair to speculate on her shadiness. The rest, however, are not as fortunate. Let's start from the top.

Pee Boy would want you to believe he is sitting down because his back is hurting. In fact, it hurt him so bad he demanded to go to the hospital. He would have been taken, except that for some unexplained reason his back miraculously stopped hurting from 2:00 pm - 4:44 pm everyday when the pool was open, and at 4:45 his excruciating pain started back. He is not paying attention for the simple reason he is SHADY. You don't get a nickname like "Pee Boy" by being legitimate.

1, Twin & Spradlin would want you to believe they were talking about Bobby Joiner's class from earlier in the evening. In fact, the casual observer just passing by this site and looking at the picture would probably not look twice. However, if one had been to SEYC for over 5 minutes they would know something else is going on here. WeAreShady microphones were unable to pick up exactly what conversation took place, but maybe Spradlin was lending them a "Christian CD" because apparently he had to call the girls cabin around 1:00 am in order to try to "get back my Christian CD." Good thing the Twin just happened to need to "call my mom" at the exact time Spradlin needed to "get my Christian CD back." The Lord works in mysterious ways...hmmmmm

Let me go ahead and put this out now...If there has ever been a rule set in place at SEYC because of your behavior, you might be in the top 5 shadiest campers of all time. Some of you may have wondered, "Why is there a "NO TRENCHCOAT" rule for SEYC, being that it is in the middle of July, 90 plus degrees, and in Alabama for the love of Boyce??!?" Well...here's your answer...#5 Jesse and Mark from Canadia. For some reason, these two guys thought that it would be cool to wear black trenchcoats in the Alabama sun immediately following the Columbine tradgedy. I don't know about you, but to me that is SHADY. Come on guys, I know its cold in Canadia when you are hunting moose and you might need a trenchcoat to stay warm, but in Alabama, at camp...hmmm! Luckily for Ohio, this was the last year that the trenchcoat mafia graced us with their presence at camp, which was the catalyst that vaulted Arkanshady to the top spot as the shadiest State in the union. I just have one question in closing..."How many Canadians own trenchcoats but don't bring them to camp because of a rule violation?" My guess is all of you, because Canadia IS SHADY!

SEYC 2006 Has Come & Gone...But It Shall Live On For 51 More Weeks

SEYC 2006 has indeed come and gone, and it was a great year. I can honestly say that WeAreShady has more material to work with now than at any time in its two year history. In addition to the hundreds of new shady photos, the top 5 of the first annual "Top 10 Shadiest" list is still to be unveiled. Did the top 5 change after camp? Did the tentative top 5 represent shadiness in 2006 like they have in years past? Are you in the top 5? You will have to keep tuning in to find out, but I promise you WeAreShady will be exposing shadiness at a new level in 2006-2007.

At #7 and #6 we have the superheroes of shadiness, The Dark Disciple and his sidekick, Kid Shadow. These two bring more tobacco to camp than they do underwear. I don't think that there is a rule that they haven't broken, except maybe wearing a thong to the swimming pool (and I am sure they are working on breaking that one, I just pray that I have a camera). In fact, I wouldn't be suprised if Southpark was wearing Kyle Spradlin's clothes in this picture. By the way Kyle, Southpark says thanks for the shoes! It is rumored in certain circles that someone in this picture may have had something to do with the demise of the INTERVIEWS (But I can't confirm that rumor at this point in time). To top it all off, both asked if they could be counselors at SEYC 2006...hmm, let me think about that one...um NO! On second thought...ya'll can be Jeff Deloach's couselors in training. Finally, I would say they make the list because they do hail from Arkanshady...enough said! Ladies and gentlemen..your #7 and #6 shadiest campers of all time!

#8 H.L. (Remember Me!!) Cole

I will probably be placed on a Mississippi most wanted hit list for posting the #8 shadiest camper of all time. In fact, I expect to get a phone call from and HL and Tyler's mom sometime tonight. But... even with the looming controversy at hand, I must be true to this web site and tell you just exactly why HL Cole makes the top 10. Let me preface this by saying that I think that HL Cole is one of the funniest people that I know, so when I saw the infamous video my first inclination was that it was a joke. However, after receiving phone calls from Mississippi, I soon realized that this video was not only the real deal, but that it was very controversial and extrememly shady. In fact, it is my opinion that this video is the single shadiest piece of media ever posted on WeAreShady, therefore it debuts on our list at #8. You may be asking, "If this video is so shady, then why isn't it number one?" Trust me...when you see our final 7, you willl understand! #9 Jim Brettell's Grandson

Making the poll at #9 is Blaine Carter (aka Sean Penn, aka Jim Brettell's Grandson). Blaine makes our list for several reasons (many of which cannot be posted on a Christian website). The main reason is that the first time I met "Blaine" he introduced himself as Jim Brettell's Grandson. Anyone who tries to "name drop" on the first day of camp is SHADY. I guess he thought that his relation to Dr. Jim would carry some weight in the boy's cabin. He thought wrong! Another reason he is in the top ten is because he made a web log entitled "Grandson's of the Future". The title and the content of the web log are pretty shady, but the fact that he hasn't posted on it since July 22, 2005 shows us that the impact of camp lasted exactly 14 days. Way to go Blaine! (If you are counting, that means he made it to page 2 in the Walk 51 devotion book! Stellar performance!) To view his super shady web log click here. Let me make myself clear because apparently my last post was a little misunderstood. On the morning of January 1, 2006, I will go to www.blogger.com. I will then type in my username and password and click enter. It will take me to a blogger dashboard that has a couple of blog sites that I can click on. I will click on WeAreShady and it will bring me to the administrative section of the website.

I will then click on settings and go to the section entitled "Team Members." This is where things start to get fun. For the next 10 seconds I will delete every name I see that was not originally there the first time I created the site. I didn't even know Doug Davis was part of the site until about 5 minutes ago, so Doug, I guess scroll down 2 messages and switch your name with Alex's and that message will apply to you as well.

Let me also say...this is nothing personal. I still consider Alex and Doug to be friends, but this is a buisiness.

Attention all WeAreShady viewers. This is officially a public termination of Alex DeLoach's services to this website. As of January 1, 2006, Alex will no longer have administrative duties of WeAreShady.

Due to an unavoidable work schedule for the last 4 months, I have been unable to effectively function in my role as administrator/founder/poster/owner of WeAreShady. However, I have a New Year's resolution to take back this site and keep adding the type of material that made it so great.

Normally I would say "Alex, I'm sorry to have to break the news of your termination in a public forum like this," but the truth is I am not. In fact, this is the most satisfaction I have had after a long week of work. This was a long time coming. Please do enjoy your last month of posting...and make them count. Who knows...maybe you will retain some kind of temporary status. Probably not, but its possible.

If anyone does not believe this is best for WeAreShady, please voice your opinion. Of course if I don't like your opinion I will delete it, but you can at least give it a shot. Please send me any pics you think would be good material for this site.
